Dance in the Rain - April Spotlight Paper Pack

I love this sentiment from the new"silver lining" stamp set with matching dies!  I thought it would go great with the April Spotlight paper pack which has mermaid, buttercup, bermuda, wasabi and grass. Isn't it awesome used together? I just love the colors! And, aren't the new cloud dies great? Love them!
Here's the inside - it opens up instead of to the side. :) You can stamp the cloud and cut it out with the matching silver lining die set but I decided to just stamp it inside. The cloud is in bermuda and the raindrops are mermaid.

The Pinterest-Inspired Family Bouquet

I saw a wonderful paper floral bouquet with faces for the flower center on Pinterest and immediately pinned it. It would be perfect for my mom's 80th birthday celebration! Thanks to Facebook, one of my brothers and my sister, I got all the photos together. There are 41 in our immediate family -Mom and Dad, 6 kids, 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and spouses for some of the kids and grandkids. :) I uploaded photos to Walgreens several times trying to get the faces to be somewhat the same size and then I punched them out with a 1 1/4" punch. I used a muse cardstock scraps for the flowers which I cut with the biggest flower from floral die set 1 and two of the dies from the cupcake toppers die set. The flowers were then attached to a muse studio paper straws and stuck in floral foam. After all the straws were in, I put little glass blocks over the top.

Here's the result:
And, here's a back view. Isn't it pretty with the different colored straws in back and the different a muse papers in front?! On Pinterest, the bouquet was made with wooden bbq skewers which you could definitely do but the straws have a little more grab in the floral foam so it was more stable and that's what I needed. :)

Got to love Pinterest for all the wonderful ideas! Mom was really pleased and it was a lot of fun to put together.

The straws (see accessories) and cardstock (see paper) and dies (see tools)are available in my webstore: www.amusestudio.com/seleise

Road To a Friend's House

Grapefruit, Papaya, Orange and Bermuda. What a lovely color combo. This is my version of a card designed by A Muse Studio. I love the clean and simple look. The bike is in Ocean which plays well with the other colors, don't you think? The set, enjoy the ride, has some great sentiments like the one shown here.
I added a bit of the bike on the inside just to finish off the card. I think the recipient of the card would get a kick out of seeing it there, don't you?

I am so far behind on my blog hopping as there have been a lot of things pulling at my time. But, I will catch up one of these days. In the meantime, I really appreciate all of the kind comments and stop-ins. :)

Oh - those pretty little flags on the front of the card were made with the cupcake toppers die set. These dies will work in any cutter from the grand caliber to the cuttlebug to the big shot and more. :) It's such a great die set because it can be used for so many things in addition to making super cute toppers. Check back in a couple of days and you'll see another super cute project made with these shapes. :)

AHHNOUNCING! in Grapefruit!

Oh yes - grapefruit and the new grapefruit polka dot! Isn't it pretty and with a little bit of onyx mixed in too, it just makes the image pop! This card was "ahhnouncing" an 80th birthday party but it could have been used for a shower or a new baby or a new address or whatever. :)

I love this little announcer guy from the ahhnouncing stamp set. Isn't he cute? And, there are several sentiments that can be stamped by his megaphone! This is a simple - stamp, stamp and done type project. With the rounded corners, the top two layers make a quick element to finish off a quick card. And, since it's flat, it went through the mail easily. :)

This card is also an entry in the SCS CAS206 Monochromatic Cards With One Neutral challenge.  Hopefully it doesn't have too many layers for clean and simple but it does fit the theme. :)

I hope you've enjoyed this quick and simple card! All of the products used are available on my webstore: www.amusestudio.com/seleise
