Easter Basket Card using Rosette Die

We made a version of this card at NatCon and I just loved it! So, I played around with the cardstock that I had on hand as well as the dies that I had and this was my variation. The Easter basket is made from the rosette die. Isn't that clever? I just loved learning that trick at NatCon! You could do so many variations with a picket fence made out of the pointed rosette die and other baskets and fences and fancy borders and more. I have to take another look at my rosette die and start playing!

So, what went into this card? Here are the details:
Stamp set: egg-stravaganza
Cardstock: grapefruit, grapefruit pinstripe, grapefruit chevron
Ink: versafine
Die: rosette, bunny trio, grass
Other: valentine's washi, forget-me-not,  twinkle sticker, 3D Foam

Peeps Pops!

Peeps Pops - WHAT?! YES!!!
It's a great way to use the super cool straws that a muse studio carries! My friend, Sherry, suggested this awesome treat so I made some for my niece and nephews (all of them related or not!) and boy did they love them! They are an easy, fun and yummy treat! I can't wait to make them for other holidays! :)

What do you need to make them? Peeps - small cello bags - paper straws - organdy polka dot ribbon! That's it!

I think these would make fantastic Valentine treats, don't you?

When Life Hands You Lemons... Gatefold Card

When life hands you lemons, make lemonade! I love that sentiment so was super excited to see the new "Squeeze the Day" stamp set from a muse studio (a│s)! And, check out some of the other sentiments...SO MUCH FUN!
So, now that you've seen how fun the set is (and there's a matching die set too!), here's my card! It's a gatefold card which means it's a 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" piece of cardstock scored at 2 1/8" from each end so that it folds in the middle to create a gate. I used the papaya shimmer cardstock for the base. It's SOOOO PRETTY and SHIMMERY!!!  I used papaya ink and stamped lemons all over the sugar pieces (cut 1 7/8" X 5 1/4") and edged them in papaya ink too. The sentiment is on a vintage labels 2 die cut and is also edged in papaya. It is popped up with 3D Foam on one side of the "gate". Isn't it so yellow and Spring-y and fun?!

Here's the inside - I love that the shimmer cardstock is shimmery on both sides! I used "hand-scripted" on the inside and put You are Awesome! Why did I choose that sentiment? Well, I figured if you sent this card to a friend who was having a hard time but just kept putting one foot in front of the other and kept up a positive attitude then what could be more awesome than that?!

Here's another angle. I just love this card - so cheery!

I hope you have fun making some gatefold cards and I hope you go out and Squeeze the Day!! Have a wonderfully creative day! all supplies are a muse studio and are available on my webstore: www.amusestudio.com/seleise

St. Patrick's Day Candy Box

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Here's a super fun, super easy project for you to spread a little green happiness!

These boxes are made from the a muse studio candy box die which is such a great little die because you can quickly cut and assemble a bunch of little boxes. And, it comes with a bunch of other little dies to embellish your projects. I cut the shamrock out of the a muse studio sage felt and it added just a little texture and fun. The a│s felt cuts so beautifully because it's a high quality wool/rayon felt.

There are some cute little boys and one cute little girl who are going to get some of the leprechaun's gold coins and golden eggs (work with me here - lol!) later today. For those who are curious, I got the chocolate coins at Walgreens mixed in the Easter candy.

In my previous post I mentioned that a hundred wishes looks great on a variety of cardstocks. Here's the same card on sky cardstock with champagne glitter. Isn't that pretty?

and, here's the inside. I took out the birthday sentiment but kept the "wish". The champagne glitter is on the seed that floats from the center of the dandelion - a pretty little touch. This one is stamped in versafine ink and the sentiment is in cobalt again. :)

A hundred wishes Birthday card and an Easter treat!

If you have not checked out the A Muse Studio spotlight special projects for March, you are missing out on CUTENESS!!! Love the ideas!!! Here's one of the pics! Isn't that adorable?!!!

One of my favorite new sets in the catalog is a hundred wishes. I *heart* the sentiment. :) Lots of childhood memories blowing dandelion seeds into the air (my mom was not as thrilled as I was - lol!).

Here's the set:

 And, here's my card:
I've made this card on a variety of pastel cardstocks: lemon whip, sky, pistachio and also on brighter cardstocks like the lime pictured here. It's great on all of them. I used the quickie glue pen and some diamond glitter on this version but have also used champagne glitter. wonderful effect. One tip is that the stem is very thin so you want to practice stamping with it to get used to how much pressure to put on it so you don't rock it and get a shadow. But, if you do - no worries. There are lots of empty dandelion stems after the seeds blow off in the wind. :)

The inside of this one is a birthday card using the itty bitty birthday "make a wish" sentiment and "happy birthday" from essential sentiments.  On others, I've just used the make a wish and the floating dandelion seeds. I put a little glitter on the base of the seeds to carry out the glitter from the front. :)

I hope you have a hundred wishes and a field of dreams!

Hello

Tweet heart is such a cute set and makes a great valentine or a great hello and more. You can put the little bird in the tree or put him to the side or just use the tree or bird on its own. I used the retired onyx gingham as the card base and the rest of the cardstock is cherry, grapefruit, blush and sugar.
Here's the inside. Fast and easy but wouldn't you love to get a "hello" card in the mail from a friend? I'm sure my friends would (I'm kind of postally challenged - lol!). Maybe this one will actually get out the door...maybe. lol! :)
