Make a Wish - Banner Die Card!

Here's my swap card from NatCon! I had a blast in Charleston, SC with the other A Muse Studio consultants and learned so much. The new catalog will be released on March 1 so not long to wait now!!

I have had Itty Bitty Birthday for a while now but hadn't used it much. I challenged myself to think outside the box and come up with a way to use those super cute stamps. I also challenged myself to play with different color combos. This card has a cocoa base with a watermelon layer. The center layered piece is wheat on top of fern.

The presents are stamped on the cocoa banner die (love this banner die from a muse!) with wheat ink. The cake is on a 1" watermelon circle stamped in fern ink. The polka dots are from the polka dot pattern stamp set and are stamped in watermelon ink and the party hats are in fern. Oh and the watermelon circle is popped up in a 1-1/2" circle cut out of the wheat layer. Finally some french roast baker's twine is wrapped around the banner piece and popped up on the card to finish it off. Apparently I cut the wheat piece unevenly but hey - we'll call it a jaunty angled focal point. lol!

I hope you enjoyed this card. All supplies are a muse studio and are available in my webstore:

Butterfly Border - Pinterest Inspired

I saw a beautiful card on Pinterest using the A Muse Studio papillon stamp set for a border. I knew that I had to CASE that design because it just has so many possibilities with so many different stamp sets.

I started with a blush card base and used ocean, lime and grape ink to stamp the papillon (papillon is butterfly in French). A little sky ribbon and some sky pearl stickers finished off the front as well as the sentiment from Graceful Greetings.

The trick is to stamp your butterflies close to the edge without going over and then just cut around their wings to make your own border design. No punch needed for this one. :) Here's a close-up of the design.

I put a strip of grape along the edge of the inside of the card to help make the border pop. A couple of lime butterflies flew inside too. :)

The new catalog is coming in just a few days so stay tuned for more inspiration and some sneak peeks! all supplies are available on my webstore: www.amusestudio.com/seleise

You're Out of This World!

One more Valentine! But, really, this is a card that if you remove the Be My Valentine sentiment from the inside and remove the heart twinkle stickers, is a fun birthday card that is super fast to make!

The stamp set is Greetings, Earthling. So fun! The rocket is in slate and the sentiment is in cherry. The sugar layer is layered on cherry gingham (soon to be gone for good - boo hoo) and cherry petite polka dot. A few little red twinkle stickers and red heart twinkle stickers were added to bling it up a bit.
Another twinkle heart is inside with the Valentine's sentiment from Sending My Love.

Home-made Valentines!

While my sister was recovering after bringing my newest nephew into the world, the older kids and I made Valentine's so they'd be ready for the holiday! They used Monster Bash which is such a cute Halloween set that's not just limited to Halloween! And, I'm excited to report that it made it to the new catalog!! woo hoo!!!

So, back to the important things...the work. Here's Alana making her tags for her little lollipop bags.We used snack bags to hold the lollipops.
Sometimes you have to stand to rock your stamping and glue dotting!
She's an expert as I've had her stamping since she was a baby!
Here's her final project. Isn't that cute? She wrote her classmate names on the back of the circle. She brought some joy to her classmates today!
Isaac has also been stamping since he was a little guy! He did not want any help with his stamping work!
And, when it came time to add the eyes - there was hardly room on the card for all the ones he wanted to add. I love the creativity. Eyes on the bottom, eyes on the top, eyes on each other. lol! He's one in a million!  I bet he brought some smiles to his classmates today too!
I hope you take time to stamp with the super kids in your life because there's nothing more important than encouraging them to be creative! And, yep, sometimes the patience may be tested but it's worth it!

And, finally, I can't wait to get my newest little guy stamping (as soon as he can support his head - lol!) as the three-year-old is quite the stamper and die-cutter too! :)

Here's a pic of them all together with one of the new WOODEN SPOONS!!! We've got a new tiny alphabet that's perfect for stamping on the spoons! And, splash on a spoon - FABULOUS!!! woo hoo!!!! March 1 - they will be MINE! :)
Okay - enough yelling and joyful screaming!!! I know - TOO CUTE!!! *wink*

And, we still have our great little glassine bags in the new catalog too!

Here's a fun and easy Valentine's project that you can make! It features the medium glassine bag with the small doily, a little blush baker's cording and a little valentine's washi and "hubba hubba" (love me do stamp set) in bubblegum ink! A blush splashed forget-me-not, pink sequin and pearl twinkle sticker finishes off the look. Add a little treat and voila! Cute - super fast project!

Change the sentiment and it's a great table favor for any event!

Here's another fun treat! My friend, Chelsea, made the neatest slideshow highlighting the projects and swap cards from NatCon! Check it out on her blog! http://inkystamps.blogspot.com/2013/02/im-back-had-wonderful-time.html
