Birthday Wishes from a Variety of Companies

I haven't taken pics of my latest A Muse cards and projects yet so here are some other cards that I've made in the past month or so. These are some birthday cards from a variety of companies and bazzill and A Muse Studio cardstock. The bottom card is colored with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I hope they bring joy to the recipients!!

The inside says "but we're not over the thrill!" LOL! I love it! the sentiment comes from a different stamp set. I got both at Archivers. fun stuff!

Thank You (Avian Notes)

What happens when you mix lichen, sage, buttercup, bellini solids with titian and bellini patterned cardstock and with a fun card sketch from Papercrafts? This! :)
The avian notes stamp set is so wonderful and has the fun graphic "trees" and birds and some great sentiments in a beautiful font!
The photos are a little fuzzy- sorry about that. But, as you can see - fun mix of papers and a look that would work well for a masculine card too.

Hope you're having a most wonderful week-end! Happy Stamping!

Hey Cupcake - Soft and Shimmery!

It's time to pull out your pastel shimmer chalks and start coloring! Yep, they're great for a soft shimmery cupcake! Do you agree?
I love black and white and pink and the shimmery grey cupcake wrapper is just the perfect blend. :) The shell  cardstock was stamped with the extraordinary background in blush (or was it the other way around? One is just slightly darker than the other and I keep confusing which is which until I use them. lol!). A little washi tape from the summer collection was added as well as the banner die cut from onyx gingham and the onyx bakers twine was wrapped around. The cupcake oval/scalloped element was popped up for dimension. The cupcake was entirely colored with the pastel shimmer chalk. It's a great way to get started in coloring tools because it's so economical. The chalks will last forever. :)

It's a soft and pretty birthday card. What do you think?

Thanks for popping by! All card supplies are available on my secure shopping site: www.amusestudio.com/seleise

Silky Ribbon Curtain Card - WT386 SCS Challenge

I'm a Pinterest addict. I've said it. It's out there. I LOVE it! There is so much inspiration and fun things and recipes (oh my gosh - the recipes!!!!). Anyway, I saw a wonderful window card on Pinterest using ribbon as curtains and I immediately knew that I needed to try it with the French Roast A Muse Studio Silky Crush Ribbon. (*Note - I just checked my Pinterest link so I could credit the original designer and it doesn't link to the correct website - I hate when that happens. My apologies as I give full credit to the idea to the original creator and I'm sorry I can't link to it. If  you know her or him, please let me know.)

So back to the card, I cut a piece of 1/4 inch wide cardstock and used red-line tape to "attach" the curtains to the back and front. The "tie-backs" are french roast twine. Isn't it divine? The Silky Crush ribbon is PERFECT as a curtain.

I thought the card needed a little something more so I popped up a valance made with the scalloped edge dies (I don't use these dies nearly enough so am entering this card in the "Dust it Off" WT386 Challenge). The outside of the card is the inside of the house and the inside of the card is the outside. The sky is made with blueberry gingham and there are birds flying across as well as clouds drifting across. I love the sentiment and birds from the a│s stamp set, clever girls, don't you? :)

I had so much fun making this card as did my class (although the curtains took some fussing to hang correctly). What do you think? All supplies used are from A Muse Studio and can be purchased safely and securely at www.amusestudio.com/seleise.

Thanks for popping by my blog! Have a most wonderfully creative day!!

Pink and Black Picasso B-day!

This card just makes me happy - it's pink and glittery and has polka dots - what could be better? The strips of glitter are made with putting red-line tape across the card and covering it with onyx glitter. I put a piece of scrap paper on top and used the brayer to really push the glitter into the tape. It works great! The polka dot  lots of dot set was stamped and then the circle was sponged. Finally the birthday cake from a very merry un-birthday was stamped. A teeny tiny bit of coloring on the candle was all that was needed to finish it off.
And, here's the inside which used birthday greetings again. :)

This is also an entry in the Repeat Impressions DCC81 ~ Color Challenge.  The challenge is to use Black and White and one other color. Be sure to check out the wonderful design samples on The House that Stamps Built by the very talented and sweet guest designer, Patti J. Her blog is a treat if you haven't visited it - so many creative ideas.
