Doodle Bug Dragonfly and Scor-pal

I love, love, love the scor-pal! What a great tool! And, you can achieve so many different card looks with it. This one is simply scored at the 1" marks horizontally and vertically. The 3/4" circle punch made the perfect little accent circles out of the hip hop paper. And, the kaleidacolor blue beeze ink pad matches perfectly. I don't know if you can see it in the photo but the dragonfly shimmers with some Stardust clear gelly pen. I am totally addicted to this sparkly little pen - it's fabulous!

Brighten Your Day

How about a cheery little card on a dreary snowy Kansas evening? I'm ready for Spring! That darned groundhog put a kink in those plans but it's all good. I'll make paper sunshine until the real stuff appears. :) This is one of the TAC special stamp sets - Brighten Your Day - that we're featuring in February. Such a cute set! The image was colored with prismacolor pencils and blended with a blending stump and goo gone. Don't forget, you can click on the image to see it larger for a closer look at the details.

Quilted Nestie Card and New Addition

I've been a little distracted lately as it's a super busy time at work and also in my personal life. It's good - just busy. Here's one of the reasons I've been busy. This little guy came into the world this week-end and I became an aunt for the 11th time. I had a wonderful time this week-end with my sister's family while she recuperated. Here is the little guy with Grandma and his big brother and sister.Isn't he precious? I just love him as I do all of my nieces and nephews!

And, on the papercrafting front, here's a quilted nestie card that I made for my card class this month. The ladies really enjoyed making it. It features TAC Willoughby paper.
I was inspired by this Kelly Rae Cooper card. And, being a huge fan of scrap quilts, it was right up my alley. I quilt, too, when I have time but lately - waaayy tooo many other things going on so I made a quilted card to tide me by.

OK - So am I the only card-maker who still hasn't gotten her Christmas cards out? And, only half of my Thank You's have been sent- I know! Not good! LOL! Luckily the people who love me are well aware of my foibles. :) So, my plan now is Valentine's or Easter cards...and, the Thank You cards are made but I put them in a "safe" place. Hopefully I'll figure out that place soon. LOL!

However, when I go to look for them, I at least have a photo of the item to guide me. :)What do you think? Use the Edge Designs stamp and then flip it to make a mirror image. If it's together or if there's a gap, both ways look great and give different effects.

This is a quick card that will mail like a dream because it's flat. Inside, the card, the top edge was stamped with the edge stamp to add a little interest.
