You Make a Difference!

There are so many great people making a difference in this world so why not thank them for what they do! It might be someone who smiles at you every day or it might be the teacher that shaped your life. Either way - let them know what it means to you to have them in your life.

Just Because

A little scoring with the scor-pal, a little cutting around the image, some bling and voilĂ  - a fun card that's for those "just because" moments. Unexpected Joys (a hostess set) and Mini Occasions are the TAC stamp sets. I think they look great together, don't you?

Yeah. Sure. Whatever... LOL!

TAC came out with this super funny farm phrases set which works perfectly with so many sets but especially the funny farm characters! I added a little bling and fun flock to finish it off. Hope it brings a smile to your day!

Paws-a-tively...Thankful for a Friend Like You

How about some Feline Fabulous combined with Heather's Sketch 85? I just love this set (I know - I say that about every set but I only buy sets I love so...I guess I just have a big heart - LOL!). I've got it paired with some pop rockz paper and layered on some DCVW on birch. It's colored with prismacolor pencils and goo gone. I just can't get enough of that coloring technique!! And, a little bling finishes it off. :)

I had a blast with my class last night and this is one of the four cards we made. They are just a FABULOUS group of ladies! My poor neighbors prob. can't believe all the laughter at 6 p.m. but it works for me. :) I had actually struggled with some missing mojo before my class but my BIG thanks to the sketches that Heather posts on her blog and Laurie posts on Paper Wings Online which jumpstarted the creative thoughts. By the way, Paper Wings Online is a TAC message board but the gallery is open to the public so you should pop by.

Heather's Sketch Challenge - Sketch 86

I haven't had time to play with one of Heather's sketch challenges for a really long time so it was fun to finally get one done in the same week as her post. The sock hop image is just so fun and looks so great in so many colors! And, the stardust clear gelly pen adds just the right amount of shimmer to the glasses and the buttons!

If you need some great stamping ideas, I definitely recommend Heather's blog! She's an amazingly talented, super awesome friend!

Celebrate! Clear Embossing on Ivory Cardstock!

This card was totally influenced by one that Jennifer Carter posted several weeks ago. She's got so many fabulous ideas that you really should pop by her blog for some inspiration!

I loved the idea of the clear embossing on the cream card so put it together with a tag card design(snip off one side of your card and then put that snipped off piece on the other side of your card and snip along the edge and you'll have a perfectly matched top!)and voilĂ  - a great wedding card that looks "wow" and goes together very quickly!
Card parts: Ivory cardstock, versamark pad, clear embossing powder, gold embossing powder, Swirlies and More Elegant Sentiments, ribbon and Pop It Pop Dots!

Aquacolor Crayons and Watercolor Plants

This was one of the cards that I made with my class last month. I just love the simplicity of the layout and I think it's the perfect sympathy card with the soft touch of color from the aquacolor crayons and a couple of accent lines made with the scor-bug. It looks great on the birch cardstock too. Watercolor plants is one of the new stamp sets that I just love! It's perfect for backgrounds or for touches of color. And, it's the perfect set to use with aquacolor crayons or coloring with markers.
If you haven't tried aquacolor crayons, I hope you get the opportunity sometime because they're a great way to bring a new look to your stamps especially the solid image sets like this one.
