Marvelous mottos and the Fall Supplement and a fabulous trip!

I just got home from a vacation to the southeast part of the country (we were in 9 different states!). I was visiting with family and it was a wonderfully relaxing trip!!! I did some stamping with my mom and aunt while sitting on my other aunt's deck and also did some stamping with my cousin (so fun!) but mostly just enjoyed laughter and visiting and sightseeing with family. My mom and my aunt were my travel companions and we had a wonderful time on the road! Here are some pics from our trip (that's me and my mom with the smoky mountains behind us and my aunt, mom, sister-in-law and brother in Nashville (day trip from AL) and my cousins, aunts and mom and me on the deck before we left Tennessee). It was a great trip!):

Right before I left, the Fall Supplement came out and the stamps are so cute! One of the new sets is Marvelous Mottos, T-2888, $21.95! How cute are these phrases?

And - check it out - we have a Spanish sentiments set! I'm so excited!

I can't wait to get my order! It's double hostess benefits right now too so it's a great time to have a party! If you're interested in anything, please let me know.

I'll be back to cards in the next post. Happy Stamping!

Another Gerbera Daisy

I come back to the Gerbera Daisy stamp more than any other. I just love the classy and simple and friendly feel of this daisy. It's great colored with prismas and it's great monochromatic. It's just a classic image. The daisy is layered on a sanded scor-pal grid and is stamped with cote d'azure palette ink. I love the calming blues for a "thinking of you" card.

Bon Voyage!

I studied in France for a summer while in college and when I saw the TAC Go Abroad stamp set, I knew I had to have it! Tag Tidbits provided the sentiment and I love that little "bon voyage" scattered all over the card! This card has several of my favorite things - my favorite color, one of my favorite places to visit and shimmer! What could be better? Well, ok, it would have been fun to make this card while sipping café au lait on the Champs Élysées but hey - can't have it all, right? :)

Card Class Fun!

Let's see - last week was just about as crazy as the week before but gosh, it's sure been fun! My sister and her hubby and kids were here this week-end. Two of my bestest college friends popped in to visit at separate times too and I got to spend some moments of time with other great friends too. How wonderful!!! So, in-between and during some of the visits, I needed to get ready for my card class tonight and needed to make a present and needed to make cards. Well, I got the present done - cute altered composition journal (you'll have to take my word for it as I forgot to take a picture! LOL!) and other stuff.

I also got my cards designed (ok - I finished them in the wee hours of the morning which made it hard to get up for work!). Here are two of my designs. The first features the Trick or Treaters stamp set. Love this set! I used versamark on the kraft cardstock (doesn't it look great on the kraft?!) and stamped with brilliance pearlescent beige (so wonderfully shimmery!) on white before cutting the little ghost out and popping it up off the card base.

The second card features the Miss Moxie paper, the Ordinary Greetings stamp set and the extra jumbo flower punch! Very simple. Very quick and love the colors! It was a fun evening and now it's time to find some more card making motivation.

Oh, before I sign off - there's another drawing on the TAC site this month. It's a Natalee accordian kit and coordinating Angelee papers and so much more. I'm so excited for my SBS4 sister, Linda, as she won the fabulous August Woodrowe Kit special. Congrats Linda!!! How fun!! Here's the link to sign up for the September prize!! Good luck!!!

Oh, and Carmen has blog candy to celebrate 20,000 hits so pop over to enter to win! How awesome!!! Good luck again!
