I love, love, love the new scalloped punches in the TAC catalog. I made a card with the "mega" scalloped circle punch and used it for my January Funshop project and my January Birthday Card stamp camp. I stamped the long design element from Summer Elegance with versamark on the matchmaker cardstock strip and sanded it to bring the design to life. I punched a mega scallop circle with a slightly darker shade of matchmaker cardstock and sanded to distress the edges (matchmaker has a white core so it's perfect for sanding!). Then I used the coluzzle to cut a little circle for the center of the scallop. It's stamped with the Little Friends set and colored with prismacolor pencils. To finish off the design, a dove blender pen and shimmers chalk topped off and smoothed out the coloring. It's a great notecard or birthday card or get-well card. I love the versatility. Happy Stamping!

Navy and Gold Love
I can't believe it's been over 10 days since I updated my blog. I worked photography sales at a gymnastics tourney for three days starting on Friday morning last week-end and it was great and exhausting. Plus, it's our busiest time of work at my full-time job so I'm just now getting my groove back. Good thing because I've got a FUNshop on Saturday at my sister's house and a birthday card stamp camp next week. I've got miles to go before I'm ready for either and yikes - there's no time! However, I'm super excited and I work best under pressure (it's the procrastinator in me!) so it's all good. I need to get out to my sisterhood blogs - what a creative group of people!!! And, if you haven't visited Heather's blog - on my favorite links - you're missing out - what a creative gal!!
Valentine's is coming up and love is in the air. Here's a navy "love ya" card that I did for a swap. It features the TAC Circle Sampler stamp set and navy cardstock. How fun is this? Amazing what a couple of eyelets will do for a square piece of paper. I love it. I'm not sure the photo does the gold embossing any justice but it was fun to do.

tiles, tiles everywhere...
The new Angel Company catalog is out and it's wonderful!!!! New stamp sets, new paper sets, quick matchbook scrapbook kits (Everything is pre-cut - just press out the pieces and put together - and it's double-sided paper!!! I love it!!) and scalloped punches!!! Check it out, click here to shop on-line. January specials are also posted on my TAC shopping site:
Stamp of the Month/Vintage Stamp of the Month
January Specials: Organizer Stamps
Have fun shopping!
So, what do you do with these stamps once you get them? Try making some coasters! I decided coasters would make good gifts so I hit some of the local and not so local home improvement stores and
picked up some 4X4 and 6X6 tiles to make coasters and trivets. Staz-on ink was the trick for the base ink and Brilliance ink worked well too. For this group of 4 coasters, I smudged edges with a cotton ball loaded with staz-on ink, stamped with three TAC stamp sets (Basic Birds, Live Inspired and Spring Dream), baked at a low heat and then put cork shelf liner on the back. Simple, quick and wonderful!
