A day of SWAPS

Happy Sunday to you! It's been a day of swaps for me. I signed up for 3 and then kind of freaked because now what am I going to make?! Nothing seemed right. Nothing seemed good enough and then I calmed down and just started playing. I finally came up with two that I'm pleased with and I still have one swap to go but I think I have an idea that will work. So, here are the two that I got ready. I love the sanding versamark technique so used that on the winter sparkles hostess set swap (the purple card)and used a geometric lay-out for the mister penguin swap. If you don't want to see them, too late because here they are. :) Happy Stamping!

OK - I just finished my last swap that needs to get in the mail. I actually got them done early. what? (anyone who knows me knows this is totally out of character!). :) Of course, I still have to get them in the mail... :)

Stamping with my sister

You know, nothing in the world is better than stamping with my sister, my mom and my 2 1/2 year old niece. My little helper just loves "helping Aunt Ees". She helps press the stamp, helps push the punch, tells me the colors of paper and inks, puts stickles on finished cards and so much more. I think it's a great thing that stamping can be fun for any age and can be a great way for friends and family to bond together. My sister and I made some great cards for her upcoming church bazaar and with our little helper, we still managed to get lots done! We had a family reunion this week-end and it was great to see my cousin's beautiful and creative scrapbooks and hear about my sister-in-law's plans to start a special scrapbook and see my cousin-in-law's memorial scrapbook that a TAC employee (her sister-in-law) made to honor her departed father. I love to see all the different ways a scrapbook can be approached. I have really only been a card person to this point but I feel that scrapbooking is in my future. hmm - only time will tell... :)

It's a day for stamping and crafting!

Wow - what a week it's been. Lots of crafting and lots of time with friends and yet, not enough time to get everything done. :) It's been rainy and cloudy today which is a really good thing. But, the best thing about today was no commitments away from home so I've been able to get some craft projects started and some others completed. whew!

I'm so excited about finding a pattern for a great little bag called a "Stella Tote." It holds cards perfectly and is a great gift bag. My classes are going to make this bag in October or November. I'm so excited. Here's a peek at some of them.

Have I told you about the awesome hostess special in October? It's fantastic!! As a hostess, you get double hostess rewards and as a customer, you get double gifts with purchase stamps. That's just super fun!

More great stuff will be coming soon. Thanks for stopping by!

Cards and projects

Wow - barely into the first week-end of my first week with TAC and I'm playing with the papers and stamps and they're great!

I'm teaching a stamping and cards class in Wamego on September 20th from 6:30-8:30. Contact me for more info. Here are the four cards the adult card-makers are going to do. The Angel Company has wonderful papers and stamps. These cards feature the 36 page - 8X8 paper pack, "A Little Whimsy," V-924, which is only $6.95. In addition, the following stamp sets were used: Tickled Pink, T-2698, $15.95; TagTidbits, T-1186, $10.95; LittleFriends, T-2332, $7.95; sassyCats, T-2353, $7.95; and the Level C hostess set, SpringDream. If you're interested, you can order the items from me the night of class or anytime from my TAC website http://seleise.ismyangel.net.

Here are the "kids" cards for our younger stampers. :) My friend, Lori, has given me a wonderful opportunity to start this class and I hope it goes well for all involved. I've really enjoyed the group that gathers in my apartment in Manhattan once a month.

I also loved the Scrapbook in a Box class that I took Saturday morning from TAC Director, Heather Scott. Wow - this was really groovy. And, the paper, Mulberry Meadow is so rich and beautiful. A little difficult for me to do in the morning hours since I'm not a morning person but what a wonderful product. Thanks, Heather! ;)

If you're interested in hostessing a party in September, there's a fabulous hostess special. You can get this "sneak preview" stamp for free with a $250 party. For more information, contact me.

In addition, TAC put together these two great product packets that come with a limited edition stamp set and coordinating papers and hardware. You can choose either Mimi or Lily Anna collections and the kits are only $24.95. It's a great bargain!
